live your best life today

UPSIDE DOWN

I hope that y’all had a great week at school and work!

There’s a song I rediscovered called “ upside down “ by Jack Johnson. I actually remember it from Curious George, which I watched when I was probably about seven years old.

The song isn’t a Christian song, but sometimes we can apply secular music to Christian meanings and use them to glorify God!

Upside down is about a guy who wants to change his entire life, and achieve the things everyone says that he can’t do! He wants to do the impossible. It also says that the world keeps spinning, and no matter what you do, time will continue. He doesn’t wanna waste time, and he wants to live his life a little different than everyone else.

I think the guy in this song is awesome! I also think the song is very applicable to our walk as Christians. We should all try to live a life that’s different than everyone else’s. A life a little more exciting, a life a little more fun, and a life a little more meaningful.

I feel like usually, people wanna all walk down the same path. I’m not sure why this is. I know that everyone doesn’t have the same dream in life, so why do we all try to accomplish the same things? Who cares about what other people are doing, or what the “ norm “ is. Try to do what God is calling you to do, and follow your own dreams! Don’t be afraid to be different. If you wanna go do missions, do it! If you wanna live your life doing something different than what everyone else is doing, do it!

People are gonna critique you, or think that your crazy, but as long as your living a life that glorifies Jesus, who cares? People criticize, and often because they simply don’t get it! Don’t let small- minded people prevent you from living the life you are called to live.

This song is also talking about enjoying life. God wants us to enjoy our lives, and if you look around, he made so many things for our pleasure! He made yummy food, laughter, and beautiful sceneries. Our God is a God who wants us to enjoy his wonderful creations, and rejoice in them.

We shouldn’t try to live a comfortable life. We should live a life where we are constantly pushing ourselves to become better and more unique Christians. Anyways, everyone should go check out that song, and I hope you all have a relaxing weekend! 🤗

R O M A N S 12:2

Do not be conformed by the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that by testing you may discern what the will of God is- His good, pleasing, and perfect will.
