How to Listen to God

” How do you hear what God is trying to say to you? “

So, this was a question that one of my friends asked me and I’m going to try my best to answer it! Although I am answering this question the best I can, remember that I am young and I don’t know everything about Christianity or how to be a perfect Christian! Because I make mistakes and mess up sometimes too!

Anyways, so back to the question. To truly listen to God, you must walk on His path. The closer you follow God, the better you’ll be able to listen. A verse that backs up the point I made is John 10:27-28, which states:

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.

So, this verse is basically saying that if you follow God, you will hear His voice. He knows us, and we follow him wholeheartedly. He gives us eternal life, and we will never die. No one will ever take us from Him.

Another way you can listen to God is with prayer. Praying is one of the most important parts of being a Christian. When you pray, The Holy Spirit will fill you and you can feel its presence. So if you want to hear from God, make sure to pray all of the time! Seriously pray any chance you get. If you’re sitting in class, thank God for the chance to get to go to school! Whenever you are laughing or having a good time, thank God for making life so great. Jeremiah 33:3 tells us:

Call to me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.

So basically, pray to God and he will reveal His glory to us! The final way you can hear God would be to really get into the Word. The Bible is our guideline on how to live our lives. So, try to read your Bible as much as you can and learn more about God!

I know this blog is short, but I hope it helped you! Remember to keep your ears open and walk closely on God’s path and let him speak to you! Have a great day everyone!!
