My Weekend

Hey guys! So I am going to just be telling y’all about my weekend today. Sorry I didn’t blog this weekend, but I was with my friends and I just wanted to spend some quality time with people!

So back to this weekend! I got home from school and I did a really good bible study about self confidence and it was such a game changer honestly. I’ll blog about it later this week! Anyways, after that, I cleaned my entire room and I actually made it cute for once. That was really satisfying haha!

Then, some of my friends came over and spent the night. I had a lot of fun! We pretty much just ate food which was super great! After that at like midnight we colored our hair which actually scared me a lot because I’ve never used boxed hair dye before. It ended up looking really good, but I might color it even lighter next time because I love super blonde hair.

We stayed up til three and then the next day, I talked to my mom for a super long time just about life and everything which is always great. Then I went to Goodwill and got a super cute dress from Garage and a Ralph Lauren t shirt ( scoreee ) haha I love thrift shopping!

I love coloring, so then me and my friends colored a ton of these little Psalms cards!

On Saturday night I was sort of bummed out, but then thankfully Kyla helped me feel better because she’s seriously so funny and great. She also told me to talk about her in my blog haha so here you go Kyla 😉 also this is random but in the summer after eighth grade Kyla basically broke my nose with a volleyball… yeah my nose has never been the same since then 😂

And today, I went to church with Kyla which was so much fun. Later, we had lunch together and had an adorable photo shoot with my little sister!

After she left, I was in a super good mood. I realized this weekend how much happier I’ve been ever since I’ve been working on my relationship with Christ more. Remember that your worth and happiness doesn’t come from others. Your happiness comes from Christ alone. I’m beginning to understand that He’s the only one who can satisfy my soul, and I think that’s such a beautiful thing.

Now I’m sitting in a church parking lot, helping Sierra edit her Instagram pictures haha. Life is simple, but it’s so good. Tomorrow I’m going to be working on some worship songs for the Bible study I’m hosting!

Please pray that my bible study will really come together this week, and that I can touch others! Have a great week everyone, I’ll be praying for y’all! – cami 💓

Teens Can Make A Difference

Me on a mission trip haha I’m crazy

1 Timothy 4:12

12 Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

Hey y’all! So 1 Timothy 4:12 is the verse that I am going to be basing today’s blog off of! I was reading my Bible this morning and it really stuck out, so I took it as a sign that I needed to discuss it.

The beginning of the verse talks about not letting anyone despise you for your youth. I feel like this happens a lot when adults look at teenagers. Some adults don’t think teens are capable of being true disciples of Christ. Teens of the world have a reputation of being reckless, careless, and wild. However, we are not teens of the world. We are teens of Christ! So, our reputations should be a little different than other people our age. We need to be kind, respectful, caring, and reflections of Jesus.

The next part talks about being an example in speech. Being an example in speech can be very hard. What sort of things do we talk about, and how do we say them? Do we use vulgar language, or do we glorify God with every word that comes out of our mouths? We can be an example of speech by simply sharing The Gospel! You can sing worship songs, post verses on social media, and even write a blog ( hehe that’s one of my favorite ways to glorify Him if you can’t tell by now).

Then, the verse says in conduct. In conduct sort of explains itself! We must have a good demeanor with how we act and how we think. We have to be good y’all! So avoid those parties on the weekends, because having sleepovers with friends is much more fulfilling, I promise! Make true bonds with people over Christ, not over drugs and alcohol.

Next, it says in love. Every single thing we do in life MUST be in love. Love changes every aspect of your life. Love brings you closer to others, and more importantly to Christ. One of my favorite verses that I made sure to memorize is Colossians 3:12–14, which says:

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

This totally covers the aspect of love in the verse I’m going over!

The next part says in faith. This basically means that we need to totally serve God with 100% of our hearts! Don’t be afraid, just have faith. Be bold servants of Christ, and trust in Him always.

The final part of the verse says in purity. In purity means that we are serving Him with intentions that truly come from our heart. We shouldn’t be serving Him just to seem better or more holy than anyone else. We need to be transparent Christians. Be the type of person that doesn’t have anything anyone can hold against them. Put your faith out in the open, and if you made a mistake, admit it! Strive to have a pure faith and purely serve Him!

We can all make positive impacts on the world through our faith in Jesus Christ. Teens have amazing platforms to share His goodness! We have social media, school, and our friend groups. Don’t wait to share His glory, start NOW. Go on mission trips, talk about God with your friends, get into The Word. Do anything that nourishes your spiritual life.

I hope y’all have a great evening! I have really been working planning my Bible study the past couple of days, and so far, I have ten wonderful young women who are going to be worshipping with me once a week. I will keep y’all updated about how my bible study planning is going, and if you want to join in just let me know! All girls are welcome, don’t be shy!

True Friendship

Hey y’all! So, a ton of people have been asking me to do a blog about fake friends… BUT I’m not going to do that! I only want positivity on this blog, so instead, we are going to be talking about true and Godly friendships!

I have been so blessed to be friends with so many amazing and Godly people. It is so important to build up encouraging and positive people in your life. I am learning this more and more everyday. For a while, I shut everyone out because I didn’t want to be hurt by anyone. Instead, it just hurt me even more! God created us to be social beings, and we need some social interaction in our lives!

So, when I think of a true friend, the first thing I think about is someone who is encouraging. Friends should constantly be building each other up. When you compliment a friend or build them up, you can gain from it. Encouraging others makes your own soul more beautiful.

Friends also should not compare themselves to each other. Often times, I catch muself or a friend of mine saying things like, ” Wow you look so much better than me.” or ” Ew I look bad in that selfie don’t post it!” I feel like pretty much every single teenage girl has said these words haha! Anyways, don’t think your friend is prettier than you or better, because thinking these things can totally ruin your friendship with that person. We shouldn’t be comparing ourselves because we all bring something different to the table. We should be happy when our friends accomplish something, not jealous of it!

Communication with your friends is also important. If something a friend said to you hurt you, you need to let them know. If you don’t tell them, it will continue to hurt your friendship without your friend even realizing it! Talk to each other in real life, don’t just text to talk about your problems. When you just text, a lot of things are left unsaid. It is also hard to pick up on emotions over cyber space, so just talk in real life!

Let’s all focus on being a true friend, not just finding true friends. There’s a quote that says ” Your vibe attracts your tribe.” and this is so true! Be a spiritual leader in your friendships, and your friendships will become more God-based. Live real friendships, and make true bonds with others. Reach out to as many people as possible because everyone could use a true friend. I’m putting some verses down below for y’all to meditate on and think about! Have an excellent day- Cami 🙂

Proverbs 12:26
The godly give good advice to their friends; the wicked lead them astray. (NLT)

John 15:13–15
There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me. (NLT)

Going All In

Haha throwback to Maine, can’t wait to be back in a few months!

Hey everyone! Today I’m going to be talking about something that has really been on my heart lately. I feel like as Christians, we sometimes hold ourselves back from following Christ. I feel like I’ve done this personally, and there’s a lot of reasons why we all do this.

I’ve held back because first of all, following Christ wholeheartedly is scary! God’s plan for us isn’t always easy. It can be so scary, because we don’t know what His plan is for us! We don’t know if he’s going to send us to a third world country to serve, or if we are supposed to stick around here in the middle of Indiana. We don’t know where we are supposed to go to college. We don’t know who we are supposed to marry, or how many kids we are supposed to have.

All of this not knowing can be so frightening. It can make us fearful. It can make us not want to follow Him and choose our own way. This is because of our selfish desires in life. Our flesh wants us to chose our path, but our spirit wants to follow Him. Let us listen to our spirit, and follow him wholeheartedly.

One of my all time favorite worship songs is called Even If. I encourage y’all to go listen to it, because it has truly touched my life and my faith so deeply. It talks about having hope in the Lord even when He doesn’t make things happen in the way we want. It also talks about how we should cling to Him, because He is able and a faithful God.

This song has helped me begin to get closer to God and totally dive into my faith. I was talking to one of my best friends the other day about a struggle she was having, and I was telling her how great it is to feel the spirit of God in every aspect of your life, and that we can feel close to Him day and night. Following Him is the most wonderful thing ever. It just brings such an indescribable joy and hope into my life. I hope you all choose to follow Christ as well.

We can’t only follow Him partly. We must be all in. We have to give it all up for God. He is the Shepard and we are His sheep. We must be willing to follow and trust in Him no matter what we are going through. He knows our pain, and he can help us through as long as we fix our eyes on Him and Him alone. We all make mistakes. None of us are worthy of His love, but He loves us anyways. He never fails, and he will reign forever.

Psalm 86:11

Teach me your way, Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.

Having an undivided heart is so important. We have to be totally in for Him. If we fear God, then we don’t need to fear anything else. God will open doors for you, and He will take care of you! Have a great Tuesday everyone, and if you want to talk to me about anything feel free to message me 🤗 I’ll be praying that my message today brings you closer to Christ! Let’s follow Him not just on Sunday mornings, not just during our devo times, but let’s follow Him every single moment of every single day! – Cami

Called to Love

I hope you all had a great Monday! Today I am going to be talking about how Christians are called to love one another. I want to talk about this because I feel like so often, Christians can be super judgement and rude to other people, especially towards non-Christians.

When I went to Saint Louis last summer, my perspective on love totally changed. Everyone in Saint Louis was so open and welcome to every type of person who walked in the church doors. No matter what sexuality, race, or type of person you are; God loves you. We are all sinners. No one is better than anyone else. We are all loved by God, and that is one of the most amazing concepts I can comprehend.

Jesus used those who had sin filled lives. He used the prostitutes. He used a murderer. He used cheaters. And He uses us. I feel like as Christians, we think that if we make one mistake, Jesus won’t use us or love us anymore. This is totally not true.

We shouldn’t try to live sinful lives, but we all mess up. His grace covers us. So, no matter what we did, God will still use us for His good and perfect plan. Just realize what you did wrong and ask for forgiveness. He will always forgive us, and then we can try again to do better next time! Isn’t it fascinating that we serve such a merciful God?

He will use the person you see partying on the weekends. He will use the girl you see gossiping everyday. He will use someone who has a different sexuality than you’re used to. And that’s okay. He has a way of bringing even the most lost person to Him, because he has a father’s heart. He wants a relationship with us, we just have to want a relationship with Him, too.

All sin is the same in God’s eyes. I seriously just want to stress that He loves all of us soooo much. He will use each and every one of us as long as we let him. If you feel unaccepted by other Christians, find ones that will accept you with open arms. Christians are supposed to love EVERYONE, not just those that have the same beliefs as them.

John 15:12-13

My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

So, let’s make sure to love each other a little more everyday. – Cami 🤗

Hey guys! Sorry this blog was so short and that I’m posting it so late at night haha! I’ve had a really weird sleep schedule today ( aka taking a four hour nap in the middle of the day ) so sorry about that haha! I’ll write another blog tomorrow, and I hope you enjoy the one I have up for y’all tonight!

How To Achieve A Godly Relationship

Hey guys! Here’s a blog you might’ve seen on Elevated Faith that I wrote! You may have already read it, but here it is for everyone that hasn’t. It is probably one of my favorite blogs I have ever written. I hope you all had a great Sunday! – Cami 💓

You all know how it goes- you are living your everyday life. You are walking down the hallways, grocery shopping, or sitting at the beach. Suddenly, you see someone who interrupts your everyday life. You become instantly attracted to someone you don’t even know. You want their attention and their approval.

You begin talking to them, laughing with them, and getting to know them. You start falling for this new person who filled a hole that you never even knew existed. How did you ever live without them? Soon, you and this person begin a relationship, and this is where things can get complicated.

Relationships are hard. They take trust, love, and compassion. They take sacrificing for others, working hard to make someone else happy, and loving them no matter what.

Relationships seem like the best and most important thing the world has to offer. However, God did not create them to be this way. God created relationships to be pure and Godly. He wants them to glorify Him no matter what the circumstance.

You see, this is hard to follow because the World’s view of relationships are almost entirely opposite. The world views relationships as insignificant. They are used for selfish desires and pleasures. They are used to make one’s own image more appealing.

As a teen, relationships have been hard for me personally. I have made a lot of mistakes, but I have learned a lot about how to follow God in my relationships. So, I’m going to be sharing with you a few way I learned about how anyone can achieve a Godly relationship.

1- Transparency

Relationships should be transparent because they don’t hide anything from each other. Be open with your significant other. Let them know who you truly are, and don’t keep secrets from them. Let them know your struggles, fears, and goals in life. Transparency also brings trust, and trust is one of the main assets to a successful relationship.

2- Putting and Keeping God First

Sometimes, when you date someone and really love them, it’s hard to not totally become wrapped up with them. Often times you constantly think about them instead of God. Don’t let the person you are dating replace God in your life because no matter how cute your new boyfriend is, they aren’t perfect. They will fail you, just as you will fail them. However, God is perfect and God never fails. You can’t always trust in another person, but you can always trust in God. To keep God first in a relationship, try doing things like praying together before hanging out, doing couples devotions with them, and going to church with them!

3- Setting Boundaries

Setting boundaries is probably the most important thing in a relationship. Setting boundaries keeps a relationship in the right mindset. It shows that you truly respect each other and honor the other person. I know it’s hard because yeah, you really love the person; but if you really love them, you WILL set boundaries. Setting boundaries also keeps you from sin, which should always be priority to each and every one of us!

4- Communication is Key

Communication in a relationship is a very important factor. If you don’t have good communication with your significant other, problems will occur all of the time. Communication is also important so you won’t get in arguments with your partner. If you are dating someone that you argue with a lot, you may want to change something in your relationship and work on communicating better.

As Christians, we need to be holy, blameless, and show Christ-like attitudes. Keeping our relationships Godly and pure will help us become better Christians and follow God’s plan for us as closely as possible! I pray that my words today touched you, and I’d appreciate prayer for my own relationships as well. In conclusion, I’d like to share a verse with you!

John 13:34 : So now I am giving you a new commandment: love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.

How I Cleared My Skin

Hello everyone! So a lot of people have asked me how I cleared my skin, and today I am going to answer that question.

So when I was in fifth grade, I started to get super bad skin. I was really insecure about it because no one in my class really had pimples yet. It was sad for me. It continued to get worse and worse until the end of summer before I went into the eighth grade. This was pretty much when it was at its worse point. I visited the dermatologist and they gave me really strong medications.

I think my acne got so bad mostly because I was stressed and had put myself in toxic situations. So, if you’re having bad skin the first thing I would recommend is removing yourself from stressful situations. This will seriously help so much, I promise!

Remember that your skin reflects your internal health as well. So, make sure you are drinking a lot of water and eating healthy, especially if your skin is acne prone. I would recommend cutting out greasy foods and dairy.

My skin finally started clearing up freshman year, and this year it is basically 100% clear! For my skincare, I go super natural and I don’t use anything with chemicals! I use ivory soap morning and night, and then before I go to bed I put coconut oil on to moisturize. Coconut oil works excellent for me, but it doesn’t work for every skin type, so proceed with caution!

The last little tip I can think of is taking vitamins. The first vitamin I take is zinc, which is mainly for hair growth and strength. The next one I take is omega 23, or fish oil. Fish oil makes my skin literally GLOW. Start taking some right now! I take some other supplements too, but I won’t talk about those because they don’t help with skin or hair!

Also, if you’re a girl, make sure to get a really nice foundation. There’s a reason some foundation is three dollars and some is sixty. Go with the more expensive foundation. When I used cheap foundation, I broke out really bad and it also just did not look good at all haha. The foundation I use now is AMAZING and has totally changed my makeup game for the better. It is from the brand Elizabeth Arden and retails for only 42 dollars, which is really good price for how good of quality it is.

Anyways, that’s how I cleared my skin basically! Remember that consistency is key, wash your face twice a day! Hopefully my skincare tips helped you, and I hope you have a great weekend!- Cams

James 1

Hey y’all! Today I will be talking about one of my most favorite books in the Bible! The book of James has really gotten me through high school so far, and lets talk about why!

The first thing that catches my eye about James is its verses about trials and temptations. Here’s a couple verses!

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance- James 1:2-3

Now, this verse is kind of asking for a lot! It is hard to be joyful and content in our rough times, but that is what God calls us to do, so we have to do it! In fact, our hard times make us even stronger in our faith. Our trials will break us and build us back up stronger than ever, and I think that’s a beautiful concept. We have to believe in God always, and not doubt our faith. We also must be humble servants of God!

The next few verses that have always stuck out to me are in the second part of chapter one.

My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. ( James 1:19-20 )

This passage sticks out to me because I think it is a really good reminder that can be applicable to everyone. It is so hard for me to step back from a situation and just BREATHE. When we get mad, we aren’t glorifying God. To achieve the type of faith God calls us, we must choose love in all situations. When we choose God, we choose love. I think that is a pretty awesome thing.

The last passage I will talk about today is this:

Do not merely listen to the word, and do so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in the mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. ( James 1:22-24 )

Stay tuned for next Friday, when we will go over James 2! I’m thinking that since I am going to start blogging everyday, I am going to make a schedule for what kind of topic I’ll write about for each day of the week! I have a rough draft of what this schedule will be, and hopefully I’ll have that up either tomorrow or Sunday! Remember to let me know if you have any suggestions or topics! Your input is MUCH appreciated.

ALSO, if you guys know of any cool faith-based brands that I could reach out to, contact me and tell me! I love repping awesome brands with a good cause! I also love writing for small businesses. Thanks so much, and have a great weekend! xoxo – C A M I

A secret to happiness is letting every situation be what it is instead of what you think it should be- Anonymous

Today I was looking at quotes and that is one that really stuck out to me! So I decided that today I am going to talk about happiness. Happiness is one of the easiest emotions to feel, but it is also one of the hardest emotions to maintain.

I feel like personally, this year, I’ve totally let other people drain me! I think that this has made my life not as great, and I’m so ready to change that this year. I’m learning that our true happiness comes from Christ, and outside influences should not impact our lives in any way other than positive ways and ways that help us grow as people.

To manage your happiness, the first thing I am going to recommend is turning towards Christ. Whenever you are feeling sad, you can pray or read your Bible to get your mind off of whatever is going on in your life.

I also strongly suggest talking to a parent or friend. Talk to people who really care about you, and people who genuinely want the best for you.  You don’t have to only go to trusted people when you are upset Talk to people about anything! I’m learning that you can’t solve your problems by shutting everyone out. Being alone isn’t a way to become happier- being alone and antisocial just makes you think about your problems more.

Reach out to others and ask them to hang out! Most of the time, they won’t turn you down. Also, if they don’t want to hang out for some reason then they for sure don’t deserve to be in your life.

Do things that you enjoy! Life is boring when you just go to school, go home, take a nap, and eat food. Have passions, have goals, have a purpose. What do you like to do in your free time? Maybe it’s drawing, working out, or blogging ( like me hehe ) Also, don’t be afraid of your passions. Having a passion doesn’t make you weird. Even if you are weird, who cares? Live your own life. Don’t live for other people. Live for God alone.

Life is about your mindset. Find the good in every situation. Be the good in every situation. Positive people make a positive world, just remember that.  SO drink your water, do your thing, and live for Christ. It’s really a piece of cake once you get it down. Put a smile on your face and conquer the world- Cami

Life Update!

Hey guys! It has been a while since I have officially done a life update soooo that’s what I’m doing today! School starting again has me totally wiped out, mostly because I stay up until like 12 every night hahaha. I haven’t exactly fallen back into the school routine yet… but that’s okay! I have a problem with that… my after school routine is make lunch from 11:45-12:30 ish. Then, I just sit around and watch Youtube videos for a little bit. It’s pretty great. After that, I work on my online classes for a couple of hours. Online school can be pretty boring, but oh well I like doing schoolwork from home!

It is the nicest thing ever to only go to school half day! I get to blog as much as I want, I can clean the house, and keep up on my Netflix shows haha! It isn’t for everyone, but it is the best situation for me at this time.

Anyways, after dinner I do my homework for actual school, and then I work out. By this time, it is usually 10:30-11ish. I like to work out right before I go to bed because that’s when I have the most energy for some reason haha! Weird, right?

My main goals in life right now are to get a job ( if you know anyone I can work for let me know ) and to get my permit. I have totally been slacking in those departments, so it is time haha! I also have been working on my cooking skills a lot. Next week I might do a blog about some of my favorite healthy meals to make, because I feel like that would be a ton of fun!

I’m mostly just trying to get through this quarter of school, because Spring Break is coming up, whewww. I’m so excited to be sitting on the beach instead of at my desk haha! I really don’t like Winter, so it’ll be nice to escape the snow for a while!

Nothing big is really going on in life right now! Everything is going well. My skin is clear, the grades are pretty good, and I’ve been reading some really cool psychology books lately ( for some reason I’m obsessed with psychology, I don’t know why. )

I also am going to start blogging daily, which will be a big commitment haha but I’m so excited! Hopefully I come up with some really good content for you guys! I can’t wait to take this blog to the next level. I’ll also be working with some more small companies, so get ready to see some awesome and environmental friendly products! So that’s where this blog is headed! Have a great evening everyone. – Cami

10 Random Facts About Me

Hey guys! So the title is pretty self explanatory! Here’s ten things you probably didn’t know about me!

1- I am a really disorganized person

Anyone who has known me for a while knows I’m super disorganized. My room is almost always a mess, my locker is a black hole, and my life is always a little bit chaotic! Where ever I go or stay, I always seem to leave a trail of clutter behind me haha!

2- I’m obsessed with Spotify

I mean, let’s be real, who isn’t obsessed with Spotify? I have a playlist for literally every event, and I’m constantly playing music. Sometimes I think I should become a DJ hahaha!

3- I’m a total bookworm

I seriously read literally read all of the time. My room has stacks of books everywhere. I also read the most random books ever haha! I think I might have a problem… 😂

4- I hate being home alone

Being home alone is seriously so scary for me! I always think that someone or something is going to kidnap me haha. I know most people like being home alone, but I can’t stand it!

5- I love to cook and bake

I cook almost everyday! Since I leave school at 11:30, I get to make my own meals when I get home from school. I love to make veggies, chicken, potatoes… ugh just thinking about it all makes me hungry. I love to bake and make my siblings treats, it makes me so happy!

6- I’m a night owl

As you can even probably tell from my post right now, at a pretty late time for a school night, I am a total night owl! I get almost everything done after 8 pm. At night you’ll find me working out, writing blogs, or doing last minute homework ( hehe )

7- I have been writing for a really long time

When I was little, I had soooo many journals. Everyday, I would write in them about my crushes, my day at school, and my friends. It was so much fun to journal. I have kind of dropped the whole idea of journaling since I started blogging, but maybe it’s a hobby that I need to bring back! I love looking at them and remembering what I did each day!

8- Winter is my least favorite season

I know that some people love the winter, and even though it can be really pretty, I’m not a huge fan of it. I can’t stand the cold, and not having any color outside makes me sad! I love summertime, the beach, and warmth! It makes my soul so much happier.

9- I’m allergic to dogs

Isn’t that the saddest thing ever? I haven’t been allergic to dogs until about three months ago. The other day, I pet my dog and my whole face broke out in a horrible rash! I’m so thankful that God made dogs that are hypoallergenic haha!

10- I love big cities

I have gotten the chance to travel to a few major cities the past couple of years, and I am so thankful. Being in urban areas make me feel so inspired and creative. They make my soul happy. This summer, I’m going on a mission trip to New York City, so that will hopefully be another amazing and eye opening experience!

There y’all go! Have a great week, I hope you all have tons of laughter and love this week- cami

Good Enough

Hey everyone! So tonight I was feeling pretty down on myself. Sometimes I feel like I’ll never be good enough. Not good enough to share the word of God, be a Christian, and certainly not good enough to have a blog. However, I realized that I’m not perfect, and I shouldn’t listen to the lies Satan puts in my head.

People can judge me or my life based off of what they see on social media. But do they know me? That’s my question. If you don’t know me or haven’t talked to me on a personal level even in the past few months, you don’t know me. I feel like people think they know a person based off of their recent Snapchat or post on Instagram.

Even though I post a lot, I’m actually a very private person. I go through so many things that I don’t even talk about in my blog, because I want them to be personal and special to me. I know that sometimes I post things that raise a brow, but just know that I make mistakes just like you. I’m not going to be perfect or a perfect Christian. No one is a perfect Christian no matter how much we try to pretend. I learn from my mistakes and I grow from them. We all sin and make mistakes, sometimes others mistakes just aren’t revealed to 300 people on a story or post. Sometimes I feel really targeted by others, but maybe it’s just all in my head.

If I’ve ever posted anything that has offended anyone, no matter when it was, I’m so sorry! I’m trying harder to be careful about what I put online or do in my personal time. I want everything I do to reflect God and His goodness, so I’m going to try even harder to follow Him closer.

Honestly, I don’t really do much! I hang out with Sierra, my family, and that’s pretty much it! I don’t party, I don’t go do crazy, sinful things on the weekends. I feel like some people think I do these things, and I want to clarify! I don’t talk to hardly anyone, and I avoid a lot of situations where I feel awkward or out of place because I’m actually really shy!

I think that sometimes my shyness and fear prevent me from a lot of opportunities, but I’m going to try harder to reach out to others and make more friends. Me being shy also makes me seem sort of stuck up, but I promise I’m not! If you see me sitting quietly, I probably actually feel really awkward haha!

So, I kinda wanted to post this to clear things up. I was scrolling through Pinterest earlier, and I saw a quote which said :

God is going to send you places you don’t feel qualified to go. God doesn’t call the qualified, he qualifies the called!

So, I’m not going to stop blogging or sharing God’s love no matter what. No matter what you do in life, there will always be people doubting you. But God never doubts us, he forgives us for our sins, and is our greatest comforter. Remember that God welcomes all of us into His kingdom, as long as we follow on His path. Life is about growth and perseverance. Not about being perfect. I try harder everyday to do what is right and walk on God’s path, not my own. I hope you all do too. – Cami
